IT SHOULD BE VERY CLEAR TO US ALL THAT GOD WANTS US TO DO REAL PHYSICAL WORK. TO WORK WITH OUR HANDS AND NOT BE LAZY, OR USELESS.

 

    All parents need to personally help, insure that their own children are prepared for life, that includes their being prepared to work, prepared to do  housework, really prepared for  a paying job.  It is also an extreme, wrong value that a teenage girl  or boy year old should have a boy friend or a girl friend before completing their educations, for they do rather FIRST need to have a priority of getting a real education so  that they can be employable next with. 

 

Instead of  listening to the the mostly bad  advice of others we do  need  help to be real godly persons and also following after God's will which includes working, working for God too.

 

(James 3:14 KJV)  But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.15  This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

 

We all do need to  firstly be now what God had made us to be,  and not what we and others expect us to be, and not  be negatively influenced by the media, the world, the flesh the devil here too.

 

(John 6:29 KJV)  Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. 

 

and

 

(Eph 2:10 KJV)  For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

 

(James 3:13 KJV)  Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him show out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.

 

Laziness and personally unrealistic expecations in life  are also two key issues that cause a lot of of even once Christian persons to next have real major PERSONAL problems in life, even to be rightfully rejected by others as well.. husbands, wives, single persons too.

 

(1 Tim 5:8 KJV)  But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel. 9  Let not a widow be taken into the number under threescore years old, having been the wife of one man,10   Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints' feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work.11  But the younger widows refuse: for when they have begun to wax wanton against Christ, they will marry;12  Having damnation, because they have cast off their first faith.13  And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not. 14  I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.15   For some are already turned aside after Satan.

 

The Persons  who do not continually work have turned after Satan, and the issue is not earning our salvation by doing Good works, but rather even losing our salvation by following after Satan, being idle, lazy, and doing bad works..

 

Seriously look at how many verses in the New Testament alone dealing with the need to work, to personally do good works.

 

One of today's big  tragedy is that many young ladies and young men  are wrongfully spoiled, I.e. unable to work, they too aren't prepared to do house work, to do real physical work at home or elsewhere. They are really not prepared for working in real life.

 

(Rev 2:5 KJV)  Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.

 

(Heb 10:24 KJV)  And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

 

(Titus 2:7 KJV)  In all things showing thyself a pattern of good works:

 

(Titus 2:14 KJV)  Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

 

(Titus 3:8 KJV)  This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.

 

(Titus 3:14 KJV)  And let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.

 

(2 Tim 3:17 KJV)  That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

(1 Tim 6:18 KJV)  That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;

 

Going to a local church in itself is not a sufficient good work for God now as well.

 

(Prov 31:9 KJV)  Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.

Recently I had a vision during my sleep  about a young teenager that  I had once known and she troubled me in my spirit for many years as I would think about her, and I could not understand why till God spoke to me and said her that her unacceptable sin is the sin of laziness. He God called it an  unacceptable sin. What do you call it?

 

3: Tips on praying for the week.

 

Many persons think wrongfully that one has to send a prayer requests world wide, to as many persons they can to insure that god answers their prayers.

 

Whereas in fact it takes only two persons to agree in Jesus name and the will of God to have a prayer answered.  (Mat 18:19 KJV)  Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. 20  For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. 

 

One has to know God's word, or to hear his voice to know if the prayer being asked is in accordance with the will of God. (Eph 5:17 KJV)  Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.

 

Futhermore God tends not to ask selfish oritented prayers.

 

(James 4:3 KJV)  Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.4  Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.5 Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

 

(Mat 6:33 KJV)  But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness;  and all these things shall be added unto you. 34  Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
 
I have personally great concerns about the manner in which many people do pray, particularly when next their prayers are not answered even in the the way they had expected it to happen and they are wrongfully bitter against God and others for it.
 
Prayer is a daily two way act is is talking to God but it also involves listening to Him.
 
(Jer 17:9 KJV)  The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? 10  I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings. 11  As the partridge sitteth on eggs, and hatcheth them not; so he that getteth riches, and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of
his days, and at his end shall be a fool.
 
(Isa 1:5 KJV)  Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.
 
(Jer 3:10 KJV)  And yet for all this her treacherous sister Judah hath not turned unto me with her whole heart, but feignedly, saith the LORD.
 
In reality many people even Christians today and their hearts sadly  are not personally  committed to God or to his ways, they merely want God to bless their own endeavors, their own desires without making a full commitment to God and this is still unacceptable to God as well. We are to follow after God with our whole heart in all areas of our life.. we are to seek his will and not our own.
 
(Jer 24:7 KJV)  And I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the LORD: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart.
 
(Jer 32:41 KJV)  Yea, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul.
 
(Psa 32:7 KJV)  Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.
 
(Psa 32:8 KJV)  I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
 
(Isa 44:1 KJV)  Yet now hear, O Jacob my servant; and Israel, whom I have chosen:2  Thus saith the LORD that made thee, and formed thee from the womb, which will help thee; Fear not, O Jacob, my servant;
 
God has already clearly proved to us of his willingness to help his people by sending his son to die on the cross for us but just as this act requires a related response on our part so God's help towards us requires a response towards us of our faith and obedience as well, this means doing all things God's ways and not ours too.
 
(Isa 44:21 KJV)  Remember these, O Jacob and Israel; for thou art my servant: I have formed thee; thou art my servant: O Israel, thou shalt not be forgotten of me. 22  I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have
redeemed thee.
 
While God has even personally forgiven us for all of our past sins, we are servants of God still personally wait for the master's instructions to us in all areas of our lives.
 
Our response to obtain God's help daily in our lifes includes our our full trust only  in Him, and his ways and  not in our self, our finished works, our desires, wishes, inclinations, skills or those of any others. We are to have died to ourselves already.
 
(Isa 30:21 KJV)  And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.
 
Walking with God is not doing what we want done and expecting God to bless our desires, our approach, rather it is obedience to God's revealed will for us.. which thus requires us seeking after his will too beforehand , before we do something for

God will go before us if we let him, we are not to go before God rather..  the Children of Israel followed after God in the wilderness and not rather God followed after them. God does not treat us like spoiled babies who parents may have falsely indulged our desires, rather God expects of us all to still act maturely and in a disciplined manner to follow after Him and
his ways, his desires  and not ours.
 
(Isa 45:2 KJV)  I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron: 3  And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel. 4 For Jacob my servant's sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me.
 
Note it is sadly quite possible to have God's involvement personally in one's life and still really not to personally know him even. Sadly some people falsely still do not take the time to know God and his ways too. We are to seek God's will and to seek after God for it is only Him who will cause us to prosper in all that we try to do in all that we do as well next..

May God give us all the desire, love, the faith to follow after God and his ways and not any other.

4: Christian testimony for the week

 

While we do not live by feelings, for feelings can be deceptive, misleading, for example being excited about something can mean you are excited in the flesh and not in the spirit, never the less God has given us gifts of discernment that are also sensitive to our flesh and spirit.

(Mat 7:20 KJV)  Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

(Mat 7:21 KJV)  Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

(Mat 16:23 KJV)  But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.

Satan cannot love, he rather hates and all of the time... so his works reflect this. Often when I feel Satan's influence I get a cold, icy feeling, like being in a cold house that is not heated in the he middle of winter.. there is no warmth. love, kindness in his voice.. in fact the other day Satan was pressurizing me not to write any devotionals at all.. I felt feelings of emptiness, void, coldness, and try as I could nothing came to my mind at all, except feelings of barreness, physical mental exhaustion, feelings of hopelessness,  of my futility to try to do anything.

This is not how God leads clearly.. God is love.. he clearly talks to us with  love too.

Since I do not live by feelings I prayed to God to confirm as to what I must  do. God immediately replied read Psalms 5, and Psalm 1. Next God clearly spoke to me that I was to by faith obey God, read his word, follow it, and that  I would next praise the Lord  for God 's goodness. God also said to me  that I was to uphold God's word over my feelings, or Satan's thoughts, and  to sent them  to others, no matter how I may have felt, may have been encouraged by Satan not to post my devotionals. Immediately I had also then even produced 4 great devotionals in a row..

Can Christians get a divorce?

 

While secular persons  can get a divorce supposedly, according to the New testament the Christian persons cannot  get divorced from their spouses, or even be separated, and no matter what someone says now too.. 

 

"The Bible is clear in its teaching that the marriage relationship is a permanent one. I have never read one verse in the Bible where God approved divorce. The whole idea of divorce is diametrically opposed to the marriage plan as it was instituted by God. From the very beginning God intended one man for one woman and no more. Marriage is for life.

 Divorce is one of society's serious crimes. Every Christian who wants God's will for his or her life must settle this issue at once. I have made it clear in all of my premarital counseling that any person contemplating marriage should accept what God says about the permanency of marriage or else remain unmarried. The person who utters the solemn vow, “Till death do us part,” and contemplates the possibility of the divorce court if the marriage does not succeed, is a liar and a hypocrite. Remember, God holds the marriage contract.

The Lord Jesus Christ could not be in disagreement with His Father's ruling on the permanency of marriage. He said, “Have ye not read, that He which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder” (Matthew 19:4-6; Mark 10:6-9 cf. Genesis 2:24). Please note that it is “What God hath joined together,” not “Whom God hath joined together.” The emphasis is upon the institution of marriage, not upon a certain class of persons coming to be married. The rule of permanency is binding upon all married persons. Marriage is a civil institution, that is, the rules apply to all civilization. When Moses wrote “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife,” God most assuredly knew that Adam's posterity would be fallen sinners. When the statement was given there were no fathers and mothers. God is the Author of civil and moral law as well as spiritual law. The marriage relation supersedes the relation of the child to the parents. The man must cleave to his wife for life.

If you want a happy marriage, abide by God's rules and shun the demon of divorce.

Beware of all teaching and teachers, whether in or out of the organized church, which speak of “scriptural grounds for divorce.” Such “grounds” are based on a single parenthetical phrase, “except it be for fornication” (Matthew 5:32; 19:9). In the entire context in which the parenthesis appears, our Lord is teaching the permanency, or indissolubility of the marriage relation.

Recently I read again Malachi 2:11-16. I am convinced that the prophet was strongly persuaded that God was not hearing the prayers of His people because of the multiple divorces in Israel at that time. What Malachi wrote indicates clearly that God hates divorce.

Now does the parenthesis, “except it be for fornication” change the teaching in the entire context? Of course not! I have examined several English standard dictionaries, and they all make the clear distinction between the words “fornication” and “adultery.” These two words are not used interchangeably because they are not synonymous in their meanings. The word “fornication” (Gr. porneia) means “illicit sexual intercourse of unmarried persons.” The word “adultery” (Gr. Moikeia) means “illicit sexual intercourse of two persons when either is married to a third person.” In the exception clause our Lord used the word “fornication.” The word He used had not lost its meaning, and we may be certain He expressed Himself clearly. The exception clause is not dealing with the sin of married persons.

Why then did Christ use the word “fornication” of that sin of which a “wife” can be guilty?

A wife in the Orient was so called when the betrothal or engagement was announced. This is evidenced in Matthew 1:19 where we read, “Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily.” Actually he was not her husband by the standards of our western civilization because there had not been the consummation of the civil ceremony nor the marriage act. Mary's pregnancy was looked upon (by those who did not know the truth) as the result of fornication, not adultery. In verse 20 the angel added, “Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife.” According to our Western usage of the word “wife” she was not yet Joseph's wife, but by the custom of the Jews, a betrothed girl was called a wife. (See Deuteronomy 22:23-24.) Joseph accepted the testimony of the angel, believing that Mary had not committed fornication. Our Lord's enemies would not believe the truth about his supernatural and miraculous conception, and so they taunted Him with the innuendo, “We be not born of fornication” (John 8:41). The parenthetical phrase, “except it be for fornication” does not fit the case of married persons. Our Lord is merely saying that sexual unfaithfulness on the part of either party involved in a betrothal agreement, allows for the breaking of that contract. God's rule that marriage is for life has never been annulled.

Listen again to Christ speaking. “Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery” (Luke 16:18). This verse might appear to be disconnected from the rest of the passage, but actually it is an essential part of the context. The Pharisees had derided Christ for His teaching in the parable in verses 1-12. While they were legalistic in their demands upon others, insisting that Moses' laws be obeyed, they were guilty of breaking those same laws . . .

In answering their ridicule, Christ said, “The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the Kingdom of God is preached . . .” (vs. 16). He defends the law of Moses in verse 17, and immediately follows with His “Kingdom of God” teaching about marriage. The marriage rule in verse 18 preceded and superseded the Law of Moses. This is God's rule for His people.

Now examine our Lord's words in Mark 10:11,12. “And He saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her. And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.” In both the Mark and Luke passages there is not the “exception” clause. The word “adultery” is used, The message is unmistakably clear. The demon of divorce is condemned.

In conclusion there is one more passage we should consider. It is one that has been used to justify divorce and remarriage. “But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace” (I Corinthians 7:15). It appears from verse 12 that Paul is speaking of a marriage involving a believer and an unbeliever. Not that there had been an unequal yoke at the time of marriage, but a case where one had been converted to Christ after marriage and the other had not. Such a case would not be uncommon. Nor would it be uncommon for the unsaved partner to oppose his or her spouse and separate. In such instances the believer is not to oppose the departure of the unbeliever. Then follows the statement, “A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases.”

This statement that “a brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases” has been made the basis of the argument in favor of divorce and remarriage. But it is unsound exegesis that arrives at this false conclusion. Verses 10 and 11 in the context say, “Let not the wife depart from her husband: But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried.” Now is there contradiction in the context of this passage in I Corinthians 7? Of course not! The fault does not lie in the Scripture but with those of us who interpret the Scriptures.

Does the statement in verse 15, “a brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases” teach divorce and remarriage? Some say, Yes! But does it? The Greek word translated “bondage” is doulouo means to serve as a slave. The verse is saying that if the unbelieving partner separates, the believer is not under obligation to the departing unbeliever. There is no responsibility in matters of servitude. A sound exegesis eliminates any reference to the basic marriage relationship.

Now to the proof! In verse 27 we read, “Art thou bound unto a wife? seek not to be loosed . . .” Here the word “bound” is the Greek word desmeuo, the term Paul used when referring to the marriage relationship. He used the same word when speaking about the permanency of marriage in Romans 7, “For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth . . .” (Romans 7:2). If Paul had reference to marriage in I Corinthians 7:15 he unquestionably would have used this word. Most certainly he is not allowing for marriage and divorce. Those who teach that he is are in error both contextually and exegetically.

The full truth on any subject cannot be gathered from an isolated passage, but rather from the cumulative revelation of all the Scriptures which deal with the same truth.

 If we had only Matthew 5:31, 32, and Matthew 19:11, the champions of divorce and remarriage might have some grounds upon which to stand. But when all of the New Testament passages on marriage and divorce are considered, the total cumulative revelation will show that remarriage of divorced persons for any reason the divorce might have been obtained, is not sanctioned by God but constitutes adultery in His sight.

The bond formed in the marriage union is a permanent one. Divorce and remarriage never were a part of God's plan for mankind. You can have a happy marriage if you follow the rules in God's Book."
